Detailed 3D model of a chemical robot

Ondra prepared a new stunning 3D graphics of our chemical robot. It shows detailed structure of both shell and inner compartments in false color.

The shell, internal volume and the inner compartments are made of different substances. The shell (green in the picture) can be made of chitosan, mesoporous silica or other suitable barrier material. The internal volume (transparent in the picture) can be made of a hydrogel such as alginate. The inner compartments (reddish-brown) could be liposomes, hollow-core silica nanoparticles or other vesicles with a core containing an active substance (blue). The active substance varies depending on the chemical robots mission.
