Anna won a competition with her diploma thesis

Many congratulations to our team member, Anna Pittermannová, for winning a Stand up Diploma Theses (Diplomky na stojáka) competition. She excelled in the natural science category with her thesis named Specific Bioadhesion of Nanoparticles, which could make for example cancer treatment without any side effects possible.

Each of the five participants had 9 minute TED like presentation about his or her diploma thesis in front of the committee and public audience and Anna’s work was definitely not the only interesting one. Other students talked about new ways in colon cancer diagnostics (Stanislav Kykal), studying hydrated electrons or in other words “What happens when we shine light on water” (Jiří Chmela), healing effects of cannabis (Kateřina Tejkalová) and a design of municipal cleaning vehicle (Karel Povolný).
