Award from Josef Hlávka Foundation for Marek Šoltys

Many congratulations to our PhD student Marek Šoltys for being awarded the 2020 Josef Hlávka Award, which is awarded annually by the Josef Hlávka Foundation to the best students and young researchers of Czech Universities. This year, the Foundation took into consideration not only the study and research excellence of the nominees, but also their contribution to society and volunteering work during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are proud and honoured that Marek stood out on all of these fronts. Josef Hlávka was a 19^th century architect and philantropist. The foundation that bears his name was established in 1904 with the intention to support education, science and art.
