New Czech patent granted

Many congratulations to Erik Sonntag and Elizaveta Mutylo for being granted a Czech patent titled “Method of manufacturing multiple dosage forms with personalised composition and device for carrying out this method” under patent number CZ 310394 B6. The “Lékobot” technology covered by this patent represents a new paradigm for patient-centric manufacturing of multi-unit dosage systems (MUDS) that aim to minimise the number of pills that patients must swallow. The reduction of pill burden offers the double benefit of helping to improve medication adherence in polypharmacy patients, and reducing the overall material footprint of pharmaceutical production by eliminating unnecessary excipients.
