Laboratory
Chemical robotics laboratory was established in 2008. In the beginning we operated only from two refurbished, fully air-conditioned laboratories of approximately 90 m² total floor area in the room B308 in the building B of University of Chemistry and Technology Prague. The smaller “wet” chemistry lab was adjacent to a larger “clean” physical and characterisation lab (see laboratory photogallery 2008, 2009). In 2010 we got an office room next to this lab (room B307). The head of the group prof. Stepanek is sitting in the room BS64. In 2012 we got the room BS67 and repurposed it to serve as a clean laboratory for biological experiments. In 2013 we have acquired the MRI device and with it the room BS52 which was reconstructed and now it also houses our 3D printers. The latest addition to the CHOBOTIX groups room collection is the room BS62, reconstructed in 2015, where you can find a fully equipped lab with a large walk-in hood and a dark room. It is adjoined by an office, a small meeting room and a small kitchen.
